However there is one thing to get into your head before you even consider such a business. Nothing that makes money is for free! While there is plenty of free software and eBooks out there on the Internet, any MLM program which promises money for nothing is a fraud. For any money to be made on the Internet, somebody has to pay. Free business programs cannot provide the income that a business needs to survive. Okay, let's go to affiliate business! A very popular way of building an online business is selling or promoting the sale of goods that belong to someone else. Simply put, you promote someones online shop, when a customer comes for your promoting efforts and buys the product, you get commission. From the point of view of the shop selling the product, you are advertising their product for them for free, and they only pay you for your advertising each time they make a sale from your site. This arrangement works well both ways, as you don’t have to buy the product, or ship it out. There is plenty of information on the Internet about affiliate programs. Lets say you like carved wooden elephants. So you build a page about wood carving, and then use that page to promote an online shop that sells wooden elephants. Each time a customer buys an elephant from your link, the wooden elephant shop ships the elephant, and you get paid a commission. It's called drop shipping, and many thousands of companies do it.
