Ginger

by Tracy
(Bathurst, NSW Australia)

Well this isn't really a herbal tea but a ginger tea. I bring 1 litre of claen unfiltered water to the boil which I have added a good 2 tablespoons of grated ginger to. I simmer for 3 minutes to release as much of the goodness from the ginger. I leave lid on and take off heat and wait for it to cool. I then strain the ginger from the ginger water and chill. I sip throughou day. It acts as a magnificent diuretic (at least it cleanses the toxins out of the kidneys)it is considered a super food. I believe it keeps me from getting many viruses that go around which is big plus as previously before I was doing this I was almost permanatly sick throughout winter with one virus or another. I decided to take control.
