We now know that with adults anyway, nightmares are often the subconscious mind giving us a warning of possible trouble ahead. Often it’s trouble we knew about, but were trying to ignore!

Most common dreams are usually easy to interpret, and dreams involving water, flying, falling, are all very common.

Falling dreams are quite common, and you will not die should you fail to wake up before your hit the ground! Falling is generally an indication of insecurity, instability, anxiety, and loss of pride. Falling suggests that you feel overwhelmed or out of control in your waking life. They can also reflect a sense of failure or inferiority.

Finding yourself completely naked in your dream is quite a common experience. Nudity may symbolize a variety of things depending on your real life situation. This dream may be symbolic of other feelings of vulnerability, shamefulness and being exposed in some embarrassing way. You may be hiding something, and have a fear that people can nevertheless see right through you, or you may be wanting to show your true self.

Flying dreams fall under a category of dreams where you suddenly become aware that you are dreaming, its called lucid dreaming. Flying and looking down toward the ground and people below, suggests that you are on top of a situation, or that you have risen above something. Power lines, trees, or mountains are obstructions that represent an obstacle or person who is standing in your way in your waking life.

Some authorities have different interpretations for different combinations of incidents in a dream. For instance, seeing lots of trees can mean lots of children, seeing rabbits is a sign of fertility, as is seedlings. So if a young lady sees in a dream, rabbits underneath trees, and eating seedlings, that can mean good news if she is married, or very bad news if she is not!

We did some research on dreams that involve gardens or plants. Our findings were staggering. Many of the dreams people have, that involve plants or associated objects, had very deep meanings. We thought you would like to know about some of these meanings, and we share them with you below. As you will see by the language, some of these interpretations have been around for hundreds of years.

*Water, the sea, rivers, ponds, lakes can tell much. A river can show the dreamer needs a more free spiritual flow. Man made structures, indicate conventional ideals are restricting the dreamer's spirituality. A lake or pool indicates that the dreamer does not have a spiritual outlet. The sea or ocean indicates the dreamer's spirituality or life is the subject matter. Diving into a body of water is a request for the dreamer to get into life. If a young woman dives into water, it means true love will find her. The state of the water can also indicate the condition of the dreamer's blood. Polluted water indicates a need to cleanse the blood by a change of diet and/or improved elimination, muddy water indicates poor health.

*Yew tree is a forerunner of disappointment.

*A yellow bird is very bad news.

*Dreaming of eating or seeing peaches indicates a child will become sick, or disappointing returns in business.

*To hear nightingales portends good for lovers or parents.

*To dream of passing thru a green and luxurious corn field indicates great wealth is coming. Dreaming of eating corn signifies pleasant friendships.

*Dreaming of asparagus signifies prosperous surroundings and obedient children

*Seeing figs usually means bad health, but if are eating them, it indicates good health. If a young women sees figs growing, it means she will soon have a good marriage.

*To see mulberries indicates sickness, eating them indicates disappointment.

* to see an orange tree laden with fruit is means health and prosperity, to eat oranges in a dream is not good. Generally ripe fruit on trees means good news, green fruit is not.

*To dream of a muddy pond denotes illness, a clear pond is good news.

*To dream of flowers blooming is a sign of good health and prosperity. White flowers denote sadness. To see flowers growing in barren soil means bad news, but you will overcome.

*To see a garden in bloom denotes great peace of mind and comfort. To see vegetables can denote misery and loss of fortune. To dream of walking with a lover thru a beautiful garden means unalloyed happiness and independent means. Seeing gardens generally mean love and happiness, as do lawns.

*Mistletoe means great happiness.

*Spiders indicate childhood fears.

*To dream of eating salad indicates sickness coming.

*Dreaming of peppermint indicates pleasant entertaining, and interesting affairs. To drink peppermint denotes that you will enjoy assignations with some attractive person.

*To see birds flying is a very good sign, to see one wounded or sick is not.

*To dream of blackberries denotes illness.

*To dream of cucumber is a dream of plenty.

*Poplars are an omen of good, if lovers are standing beneath them, they will be happy forever.

*To dream of poppies is good for business, to inhale their fragrance you will be a victim of flattery and artful persuasions.

*To see turnips growing is good, to eat them is not good.

*To see trees in new foliage denotes a happy consummation of desires. To see several trees is a sign of many children, or reproduction, to cut one down indicates you will waste your energy on foolish pursuits, to climb a tree is sign of swift promotion.

*To see an owl indicates wisdom, or age.

*Grass means matters of the heart, or emotions.

*Insects mean that things are bugging you

*Rain is life, rabbits are fertility.
