Yes, you can make a lot of money from garage sales--if you know how! Sure, there’s always someone reported to have found a missing Rembrant beneath an overlay of dust and grime. It happens, but it isn’t what this FREE eBook is about. Cannibalized parts and a little fresh paint can sometimes increase value a hundred fold. For example, at one sale is a chaise lounge with an intact frame and worn out padding is bought for peanuts, at another a chaise lounge with a broken frame and padding in great shape.
Voila, you have a complete chaise lounge in good condition. Five dollars for one, perhaps five dollars for the other, you put them together, and doubling or tripling your investment should be easy.
The two 18 inch bronze propellors above were picked up for $15 each, polished, and later resold for $120 each! The little red electric compressor was bought for $15, adjusted slightly, and resold for $40 bucks!
Motor mowers are another little gold mine, if you can fix them up and resell them. Not everyone is a “fixit” person of course, but everyone has special interests. Think small, dolls, children’s toys, figurines, dishes, silverware, kitsch. We know someone who buys up cheap any sort of container that can be turned into a useful plant holder. Old teapots, bits of clay drainage pipes, crockery bowls, even chamber pots, all sorts of stuff. She jazzes them up, puts a plant or herb in them, and resells them at flea markets, and does a roaring trade.
